This is just an insane sale that you absolutely just HAVE to check out! I just love shopping internationally because you get clothes way different from the ones we find in our stores. Online shopping from all over the world is starting to get cheaper and easier than ever. In the past it used to work out waaay too much in duties and taxes, and it still can, unless you know where to shop… so let me help you out here!
Gymboree is now shipping internationally and not only are they offering a 50% Sale on the entire store (up to kids size 12), they have everything in your own currency … you’ll kick yourself in the butt if you miss out on this one.
The problem with international shopping is usually that things like duties and taxes, shipping rates and landing costs tend to be a blur… even if you order and pay, you may be surprised by a landing cost equal to, or more than what you paid for your order… well not with Gymboree!
When you open up in the shop, just click on the flag at the top right hand corner to automatically change to your country… a banner appears that states:
We make it easy to shop internationally with:
- All prices in local currency
- Duties and taxes calculated at checkout
- Low international shipping rates
- Guaranteed landed costs (no additional charges at
delivery) - More information about shipping internationally is
available on our website
When you click on “Shop Now” you will be taken to your country’s store. Don’t worry if you see that some of the banners still display $ specials… rest assured, all prices will still be in your own currency
Now South Africans… yes our ZAR is a bit on the down side and yes it does cost a small fortune for shipping and delivery but with the 50% sale it all gets cancelled out, so if you are someone that loves to buy quality clothing and like it when your kids don’t wear what everyone else is wearing, this is for you.
The big thing to remember is there is no hidden costs once you pay, everything will be calculated before you check out.
Now just how bad is it? Well I did the exercise to see what the grueling outcome might be and here’s the facts:
My order total was R553,40 and shipping worked out R528,60 and duties and taxes R288,20 so my order total on a R553,40 was R1370,20. Sure this is not something I would pay under normal circumstances but with the 50% sale I’d say its pretty darn worth it!
Prices change daily but let me show you a few steals I found:
This offer is especially something to look out for.. A cute sequence snowflake sweater that would have cost you R603,50 is now on sale for R163,30! This is a HUGE discount!
These Gator and Space gymmies are down from R407,50 to a whopping R155,20 and R163,30!
Their gymgo range is also something to look out for. Beautiful kids Sports Bra’s for R122,50 and sweatpants for R122,50, all more than 50% off.
Their play wear starts from R98 and up… maybe a good idea to stock up on this special for next summer.
If you’ve never shopped online internationally, this is a super good place to start, enjoy!
