This is the third post in the DIY Christmas series. These glitter rope bulbs are very easy for kids of 6+ to make.
You will need:
- Craft Glue
- Rope
- Glitter
- Ribbon
- Balloons
Step 1
Squirt some craft glue in a bowl and soak a sting of rope in it.
Step 2
Blow up a balloon (Ideally to a small round shape but some balloons like the one above just wont stay round) and drape the wet glue rope a few times around it.
Step 3
Sprinkle with glitter while the glue is still wet, tie a small piece of rope around the knot and hang it on a washing line to dry. If you are hanging it in the sun, make sure to check it half hourly as the balloons will deflate in the sun and dry in an oval shape instead of round.
Step 4
Once dry, loosen the rope from the balloon by carefully pulling on the string. A knife may help with an adult present. Pull the balloon out of the top opening.
Step 5
Tie a piece of ribbon to the top opening and there you go!
Easy as pie!
